Problem: Cannot authorize ClickTracks Analyzer - "Error 69: cannot read from license file"

Solution:

For a small number of users, license file corruption causes this error (Error 69) to occur on authorization. This applies only to users of ClickTracks Analyzer. If this error occurs, please follow these steps:

  1. In Windows, go to (Settings) > Control Panels > Add/Remove Programs, and uninstall ClickTracks.

  2. In your program files directory, delete the entire ClickTracks folder and all its contents. You do not need to delete your data sets, which are probably in 'My Documents.'

  3. Unzip and then run this file: (LicSnip.zip, unzips to LicSnip.exe).

  4. Download the latest version of ClickTracks Analyzer from our updates page.

  5. Start ClickTracks and authorize it in the usual way, with your license ID and password.

  6. If you now get a message that you are "out of unlocks," the problem is fixed on your end, but you'll need to contact ClickTracks support to add an additional authorization to your account.
